Verb
and its classification with example.
I
want to discuss about Verb and its Classification with example.
Verb
means action something done. For example: I read a book.
Different
type of Verb.
1.
Finite verb means main verb in a sentence. For
example: I write a letter.

Non-finite verbs cannot be main verbs. There are three
types:

Infinitive, means before verb add ‘to’ for example: I want to eat
rice.
4.
Participle means end of verb add ‘ing’ function as an adjective.
Such as: I found him playing football.
5.
Gerunds means end of verb add ‘ing’ and function as a noun.
Such as: Rising early is good habit.
6.
Principal
Verb means main verb in a sentence. Such as: I read a book.
7.
Auxiliary
Verb means help to principal verb. Such as: I am reading.
Primary auxiliary verb total 11. Such as: am. Is. Are. Was were,
have, has, had, do, does, did
8.
Transitive
Verb means with object in a sentence.
Such as: He reads a story.
9.
Intransitive
Verb means without object in a sentence. Such as: the ship sank.
But most verbs can be both
transitive and intransitive.
Conjugation
of verb means changes for different person, tense, number or mood.
They
are 2 Kinds

Strong
Verb or irregular verb means to change vowel add to end n, en, ne for
past tense.
such as: give-gave-given, do-did-done, draw-drew-drawn

Weak
Verb or Regular verb means end of verb add- ed, d, t, such
as: call
– called. Agree-agreed, bend-bent-bent

Modal
auxiliary verb that express ability, possibility, permission or obligation. They
are Total 10 : can, could, shall, should, will, would, may, must, might, Ought
to.
