25. Introductory There

Now I want to discuss about introductory there

 


Introductory ‘there’ is placed beginning in a sentence but not express the meaning is called introductory there. For example: there is a book on the table. Here there is a introductory there.

There is and there are used as a present form. for example:

 there is a head master in our school. this is present singular affirmative form. 

There is no head master in our school. This is Present singular negative form

There are many students in our schools. This is present plural affirmative form.

There are no 100 students in our school. This is present plural negative form

 

There was and there were used as a past form in a sentence. for example:

There was a computer in our house. this is past Singular affirmative form.

there was no computer in our house. this is past Singular negative form.

there were many boats in the river. this is past plural affirmative form.

there were no boats in the river. this is Past plural negative form.
