  • about preposition

  • Preposition is a word or group of word that used before noun and pronoun in a sentence.  indicate relationship, direction, time, place, location et ctra. For example: he came from Dhaka. Here, from, is a preposition also

    In, at, on, of, to, for, from, by, up, before, below, under, above, over, behind, front, are preposition.

    There are five types of prepositions in the English language.

    1.      Simple prepositions means made by single words. For example: I read in class three. Here, in is a simple preposition. Also: In, at, on, of, to, for, from, in, by, up, before,

     2.      Double Preposition means made by two simple preposition. For example: out of, inside, without, within, before, into, up to, upon,  et cetera

     3.      Compound prepositions made by more than one word. for example: above, around, across, about, below, beside, outside,  between, et cetera

     4.      Phrasal Preposition means a combination of two or more words which functions as a preposition. For example:  in front of, in spite of, on account of,  in case of,  on behalf of according to, as soon as, as long as, as far as, because of, according to, etc

  • 5. Participle preposition is a verb ending with ‘-ing’, ‘-en’ or ‘-ed’, which indicate as a preposition. For example: regarding, following, Considering, Including, During, Pending, Given, Provided, respected, Et-cetera
